Church Planting

Starting new churches is the over-arching goal of our ministry. We believe that the local church is a primary part of God's design in reaching the world with His love. In the last 35 years, the number of evangelical churches has doubled in France. The Christian community is larger than ever before. Yet, evangelical Christians still number less than one percent of the population.

Many rural areas have no church within many miles. In Paris, churches cannot keep up with the growing population. A greater problem is that the existing evangelical churches struggle to communicate to secular people in meaningful and relevant ways. There is a cultural gap between the two. New styles of Christian gatherings need to be created in order to reach the vast number of nonbelievers in Paris and France, ones that will bridge the gap between the church and the seeker.

People in France today are seeking meaning and are open to Jesus. We want to find new ways to reach out to them. Some bridges might be English conversation, artistic outreach, hospitality, involvement in local clubs, and athletics.
