About Greater Europe Mission

Greater Europe Mission (GEM) is an interdenominational Protestant mission agency that has worked in Europe for more than 50 years. Following the Second World War, many people were coming to Christ, but there were few evangelical churches where young believers could grow. Therefore Greater Europe Mission was begun in order to train European pastors and evangelical leaders.

As the years passed, the focus of Greater Europe Mission expanded to include evangelism and church planting. Today ministry is done by over 400 missionaries in over 30 countries of Eastern and Western Europe in a huge variety of ways: evangelism, music, short term teams, youth ministry, women’s ministry, camping ministry, computer outreach, teaching English, and many more.

Greater Europe Mission is well recognized among both American and European evangelical agencies as an interdenominational mission agency which operates according to the highest standards and strives to remain on the cutting edge in culturally relevant and effective ministry.

GEM is a member of the ECFA (Evangelical Commission for Financial Accountability) www.ecfa.org and Interdenominational Foreign Missions Associations of North America (IFMA) www.ifmamissions.org/home.htm
